Good luck and have fun with your controller. If you do pick up a controller, (either a 360 or One, it doesn't really matter), make sure you don't get the one that's for PC! They charge $10 more and it's the same darn thing. I guess it does make finding the darn thing easier and you do get used to it but when I first got it I almost covered it up. And, in the future we should be getting games that support trigger rumble which is only on the Xbox One pad. Also, another nice thing about the Xbox One controller is that if you ever want, you can pick up the wireless receiver and do away with the cord altogether. I can unplug it and plug in my phone or camera. I haven't had an issue with my micro USB connection yet. I am keeping a lookout for a sale on the one where you can customize the length of the stick but they cost beaucoup bucks. To be honest, the shorter sticks still bug me a bit to this day but I also find them smoother to use than the 360 sticks so it's kind of a trade-off. The controller uses a micro USB cable if you want to use it wired instead of wireless. The sticks are a bit shorter which makes them a bit more sensitive.Ģ.

There are a few drawbacks to the Xbox One controller though.ġ. I am looking forward to the new games supporting the extra rumble features of the new controller too.

I drop my controller all the time, (onto a concrete floor no less), and have never had a problem.

I purchased an Xbox One controller when they finally made it compatible with windows and have not used my 360 pad since. All games that are made within thae last ten years or so and have built in controller support almost always have native 360 controller support. I have been using the Xbox 360 controller for years now.

so again another feature that is useless on a PS3 controller for PC.

Few AAA titles allow for custom controls enough to sadly use Sixaxis on PC sadly. I've used it on flight sims as a look feature, well tested, works but is very hard to get used to looking in a cockpit using it. PS3 controllers also have Sixaxis which is interesting. Though PS controllers it's all the buttons including triggers, it's why PS controllers also have a long push that feels like they're padded underneath, as if you're squishing something.

Now days some of the features those pressure sensitive buttons used to be great for have kind of switched over to the trigger buttons, because 360/One controllers their Tigger buttons do have a sensitivity detection similar to pressure sensitive buttons on the PS controllers. PS2/PS3/PS4 controllers have pressure sensitive buttons, which does wonders on the console games that are made to utilize them.

But to be honest anyone who owns a PS3 or PS4 should just use their controllers, just requires drivers/software, no point wasting money on a controller that is pretty much only a different plastic mold. In that respect a 360 controller for the sake of simplicity are just much better for PC gaming. If, PC games were made to use them which is the problem, they're not. PS3 and PS4 controllers are much better in general. Windows based means its compatible by default.
